Softick PPP Do you want to connect your Palm powered device to your LAN or Internet?

From USB cradle/cable, bluetooth/serial without additional network equipment.

Softick PPP allows you to access the Internet or Local Area Network from your Palm OS device using your desktop PC as a fast and cheap gateway. Softick PPP was designed to establish PPP sessions over USB connection, but now it supports Bluetooth/Serial and Irda sessions.

Using Softick PPP, you can connect to the Internet or the local network, browse the Web, get the latest news, chat with friends and read mail from Palm OS devices via USB cradle or cable, without an additional networking equipment.

Configuring Softick PPP with Bluetooth/Serial


Now tell Softick PPP what COM port it should listen to accept your PPP session. To configure Softick PPP, open its coniguration window and choose Bluetooth/Serial page.



Now check your virtual COM port number, click Properties and select the following parameters:
Speed: 115200
Flow control: hardware
Click OK to save changes in port setup. Click OK again to save changes in Softick PPP configuration.



Now you need to activate Softick PPP. During activation Softick PPP will shutdown HotSync application (since you may already use this port for HotSync purposes) and acquire a communication port.

Softick PPP is ready to accept your Bluetooth connection.
